Neurodivergent Therapy

Therapy for Neurodivergent Clients (Diagnosed or Self-Identified)

You don’t need a diagnosis to know that your brain works differently.

Many of the people I work with are:

  • exploring whether they might be neurodivergent
  • recently diagnosed
  • or have known for years but never had support that actually fits

What I Mean by Neurodivergence

This can include:

  • ADHD
  • Autism
  • Sensory sensitivity
  • Highly sensitive persons
  • Executive functioning challenges
  • Difficulty with traditional expectations or environments

It can also include people who have always felt “different” but never had language for why.

Common Experiences

  • Chronic overwhelm or burnout
  • Difficulty starting or finishing tasks
  • Intense emotional reactions or shutdown
  • Masking or “performing” to get through the day
  • Feeling like therapy hasn’t worked the way it was supposed to

Trauma + Neurodivergence

Trauma and neurodivergence often overlap in ways that can be hard to untangle.

What looks like:

  • anxiety
  • avoidance
  • or emotional dysregulation

may also be connected to:

  • sensory overload
  • nervous system differences
  • or long-term masking and burnout

We’ll sort through that together—without forcing everything into one explanation.

What Therapy Looks Like with Me

  • Flexible structure (not rigid or scripted)
  • Space for tangents and non-linear conversation
  • Support with overwhelm, not just insight
  • Practical strategies that actually fit your brain
  • Permission to show up however you need to

You don’t have to force yourself into a therapy model that doesn’t work for you.

If you are located in Texas, I'm available for online sessions from your home, office, or other private location.
