Neurodivergent Therapy
Therapy for Neurodivergent Clients (Diagnosed or Self-Identified)
You don’t need a diagnosis to know that your brain works differently.
Many of the people I work with are:
- exploring whether they might be neurodivergent
- recently diagnosed
- or have known for years but never had support that actually fits
What I Mean by Neurodivergence
This can include:
- ADHD
- Autism
- Sensory sensitivity
- Highly sensitive persons
- Executive functioning challenges
- Difficulty with traditional expectations or environments
It can also include people who have always felt “different” but never had language for why.
Common Experiences
- Chronic overwhelm or burnout
- Difficulty starting or finishing tasks
- Intense emotional reactions or shutdown
- Masking or “performing” to get through the day
- Feeling like therapy hasn’t worked the way it was supposed to
Trauma + Neurodivergence
Trauma and neurodivergence often overlap in ways that can be hard to untangle.
What looks like:
- anxiety
- avoidance
- or emotional dysregulation
may also be connected to:
- sensory overload
- nervous system differences
- or long-term masking and burnout
We’ll sort through that together—without forcing everything into one explanation.
What Therapy Looks Like with Me
- Flexible structure (not rigid or scripted)
- Space for tangents and non-linear conversation
- Support with overwhelm, not just insight
- Practical strategies that actually fit your brain
- Permission to show up however you need to
You don’t have to force yourself into a therapy model that doesn’t work for you.
If you are located in Texas, I'm available for online sessions from your home, office, or other private location.
